A Year in Books – Quarter Four 2022

Happy New Year. Hope you had a lovely evening yesterday, however you chose to see in the New Year. I’m pre-empting my evening as i type this but, knowing me, I will be in bed either asleep or reading. Too old and grumpy to party these days. I was when I was twenty to be fair, but that’s a long, long time ago now … Speaking of a long time ago, it’s time to see what the final three months of the year brought for me reading wise, with my final book of 2022 now officially recorded. And that’s my lot. Another 50 books read, largely thanks to the extended break over Christmas (just got to write reviews now – wish me luck). 185 books in total this year. Not my highest, not the lowest either. Quite reasonable given I feel like I’ve really struggled this year. Yes – there have been a lot of short stories/novellas in that mix boosting numbers, but really it’s just a whole host of marvellous reads that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.
