About the Book

When Ray Holden is told by his doctor that his stress levels are dangerously high, he decides to take drastic action…

The Moment Before forms part of the Case Files series of short crime stories from USA Today bestselling author Rachel Amphlett.

My Thoughts

I love these short stories. Always entertaining and always delivering the unexpected. Alongside Rachel Amphlett’s podcast in which you can listen to the stories if you’d prefer, they are a brilliant way to fill in the quieter moments while waiting for the author’s next full length model.

In The Moment Before we meet Ray Holden as he contemplates life, business and, most importantly, family. It’s an almost tranquil story in tone, at least that’s what Rachel Amphlett would have us believe. But, as always, nothing is what it appears on the surface and time, and the truth, simply fly by.

Another fab story. If only it was this easy for us all to combat stress. Or perhaps not …
