Oh I am absolutely thrilled to be bringing you the exclusive cover reveal for the brand new Detective Kubu novel from fabulous crime writing duo, Michael Stanley. I won’t make any bones about it – I love this series and when Karen Sullivan asked me if I’d like to share the cover with the world, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. I am soooo happy that we are getting a brand new book this December – it can’t come soon enough and what a perfect treat for Christmas too. A Deadly Covenant is a brand new prequel, telling us more of the story of rookie Detective David ‘Kubu’ Bengu and his early days in the Botswana police force. Doesn’t that sound absolutely brilliant? I genuinely cannot wait to get my hands on a copy as Kubu is one of my favourite characters. And I love reading these stories of how he became the wonderfully larger than life Detective we know and love.

About the Authors
Michael Stanley is the writing team of Michael Sears and Stanley Trollip. Both were born in South Africa and have worked in academia and business. On a flying trip to Botswana, they watched a pack of hyenas hunt, kill, and devour a wildebeest, eating both flesh and bones. That gave them the premise for their first mystery, A Carrion Death, which introduced Detective ‘Kubu’ Bengu of the Botswana Criminal Investigation Department. It was a finalist for five awards, including the CWA Debut Dagger. The series has been critically acclaimed, and their third book, Death of the Mantis, won the Barry Award and was a finalist for an Edgar award. Deadly Harvest was a finalist for an International Thriller Writers’ award. Dead of Night is their first stand-alone thriller.
