Well if last week’s post was sparse, this one probably shouldn’t have even been written. I’ve done nothing. Nada. Probably less than that. Worked longer than intended at teh day job, completely struggled with my mojo on the blogging front despite thoroughly enjoying the paltry two books I eventually read and went nowhere other than to town for a coffee at the weekend as the weather was pants. Most exciting thing I did all week was get my flu jab. Go me! So instead of inspiring scenery you can have a look at my far too messy bookshelves. They’re causing me immense stress right now. This is far from all my books, but contains the majority of my signed copies.
How has your week been? More exciting than mine? Did you celebrate Bookshop Day on Saturday? Buy anything nice? I couldn’t get to a physical shop but I did order a copy of The Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton as it was really pretty. Has a few other deliveries in the week too – copie of Ryan’s Christmas and The Shrine by LJ Ross and a special edition copy of A Song for the Dark Times by Ian Rankin. I also received my two special edition copies of the Agatha Christie books, Death on the Nile and Midwinter Murder
Three new Netgalley books this week. I am going on a ban after this as I need to catch up. (Yeah …. right. Like that will happen) Death Score by Angela Marsons; Good Girl by Mel Sherratt and The Coffinmaker’s Garden by Stuart MacBride. Excited to read them all, scared I won’t have the mojo or the time. I think we all know that feeling.

Two books. Awful. And I have to be really careful as I am about to write a review for Christ Brookmyre’s Fallen Angel whilst I still have Gunnar Staalesen’s Fallen Angels in my head. Had a bit of a run on children as victims books there Thursday/Friday. Completely unintended, it just works out that way sometimes. Only one blog tour today for this week, A Prayer for the Broken by Mark Tilbury.
