About the Book

Follow the rules. Be reliable. Don’t wear your heart on your sleeve.

Living by these words didn’t put librarian Isla Hunter any closer to the life she imagined at thirty. With her birthday in only a few days, she can’t wait to sail away on a week in the sun with her friends Asher and Charlotte. It may be just what she needs.

When an attractive woman takes a liking to Asher, Isla’s heart feels threatened in an unfamiliar way. She’s used to Asher flipping through women like a playbook without a second thought, but this time it’s different. As she tries to sort out her emotions, she struggles with Asher’s connection with this woman. Is it time for Isla to finally break the rules or will that only lead her into hot water?

Circle in the Sand is the third book in the Oceanic Dreams series. This is a multi-author series and each book can be read on its own.

Mandie’s Thoughts

This is the third book in the Oceanic Dreams series set on the cruise ship Oceanic Aphrodite. Although part of a series each book can be enjoyed as a standalone as they focus on different passengers enjoying the singles cruise.

Isla Hunter is about to go on a cruise with her best friends Charlotte and Asher… that is until Charlotte drops out at the last minute. Suddenly Isla is panicking, she has never spent so much time alone with Asher. It has always been mainly her and Charlotte or all three of them together. Charlotte sees this as an opportunity for Isla to come out of her shell and go on dates to prove she had finally got over her breakup with her ex Tim. The only problem with this is Isla doesn’t think that is really her.

The cruise is an eye opener for Isla in more ways than one. As she works out who she is and what she wants from life she realises that things will not be the same once they return from the cruise. Her chemistry with Asher was very evident even when he frustrated the hell out of her with what seemed like his never-ending supply of girlfriends. He liked to challenge her but at the same time would have her back at a moment’s notice. Although you know how the story will end it really doesn’t spoil your enjoyment of it. Although the main character in this book is Isla and everything is from her point of view, I have to say I really loved Charlotte. Her attitude to life and romance is one that is usually reserved for male characters in books, so it was nice to see it from another angle.

Circle in The Sand is a good quick read with fun characters that you could take to the beach or poolside whilst enjoying you summer break.

About the Author

Tracy Krimmer loves coffee, popcorn, Drew Barrymore, and the movie Saving Silverman. She enjoys reading great books (of course) and writing realistic characters for you to enjoy.
