Love one, love them all … My favourite series

Is there anything better than finding a series of books that you love? Characters that you can return to again and again, whose lives you become so invested in that you simply have to know what their future holds. Books which you devour in no time while all the time regretting the wait until the next books is released?

Like any self-respecting reader I am a sucker for a good series. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good standalone too, but there is something about those enduring characters, the ones who get under your skin, that gets me super excited. I am always happy to be back in their company. My trepidation is not over whether I will like the book, only what fresh hell the author has put them through this time. So I’d like to share a few of these with you today. Putting a little of the chill into the thrill …


Now I like a good old fashioned police procedural … oh yes I do. Love the whole camaraderie of a good team and having a fabulous protagonist, both good and bad, to follow and champion. And occasionally book crush on. As you do. I even like a good old fashioned shoot-em-up action thriller. Nothing like a good bit of espionage over your cornflakes. But there is another sub-genre in the old Crime world which also commands a serious amount of my time. The (any sub genre you can possibly think of) thriller. Regrets, I’ve had a few …


Now I’ve got you wondering haven’t I? Well over the past couple of weeks I have been trying my hardest to get myself organised, specifically in relation to my blog. I gave up on the work front years ago and have been happily winging it ever since. But blogging wise … well there is never enough time is there?
