Hi everyone. Today it’s my great pleasure to welcome Annie from The Misstery Book Blog to Jen Med’s to help me spread a little more book love. We’ll be taking a look at all of Annie’s choices in just a moment, as soon as we’ve learned a little more about the person behind the blog.
Annie. 26. Barcelona. In a past life, I was probably a tortured police detective with a dark and traumatic past. Right now, however, I’m just a twenty-something bookworm who loves to listen to old songs and watch 90s movies. I enjoy reading mystery and crime novels, coming of age stories, and historical fiction set in the last century.
You can follow Annie at the sites below:
Favourite book from childhood
The whole Malory Towers series!
The first book you fell in love with
Biggest book crush
The book character you’re totally in love with
Patrick Kenzie from the Kenzie & Gennaro series by Dennis Lehane. Always.
Weirdest book crush
Mark Joesbury. Only read the first book in the series and he was kind of mean, but I’m definitely intrigued haha
Hardest break up
The book you didn’t want to end
When I finished 11.22.63 I was a mess. Didn’t want it to end and cried a lot.
The one that got away
The book in your TBR or wish list that you regret not having started yet.
The book that has been on my TBR longer is… The Midwife’s Confession by Diane Chamberlain. Hope to read it soon
Guilty Reading pleasure
Love one, love them all
Favourite series or genre
ALL THINGS CRIME. Mysteries!
Your latest squeeze
Favourite read of the last 12 months
Tall Oaks. It was amazing
Blind date for a friend
If you were to set a friend up with a blind date (book) which one would it be?
A Mother’s Confession by Kelly Rimmer. Because some of you won’t read it because of the title or the cover… but it was great.
Greatest love of all
Favourite book of all time.
I have many favorite books… let’s say Gods in Alabama by Joshilyn Jackson
Thanks Annie. Some amazing choices on there. Have to totally agree about Tall Oaks (my book of the year last year) and A Mother’s Confession. That one really got me, especially the ending. And yep – I’m all about crime too … In a putely literary way of course.
So what do you reckong folks? Any susggestions for Annie? Any books you think she’d love or any titles to tempt her away from the dark side/crime fiction?
Have a wonderful week everyone. Hope it’s full of all the #booklove
