Today I am delighted to welcome blogger Amy Sullivan of Novel Gossip to Jen Med’s Book Review to share a little #Booklove. Before we take a look at all her selections, tlet’s find out a little more about Amy.
About Amy
I’m Amy, a busy wife and stay at home mom to three kids who is passionate about reading. Diving into a new novel is one of my favorite ways to escape from reality. Gossiping about novels is my obsession. Whether it’s a book I read in the past, or a upcoming new release from one of my favorite authors, I am always ready to discuss all things book related.
Childhood Sweetheart
Favourite book from childhood
I’m going to take it way back to the first book I can remember being able to read on my own and choose Beezus and Ramona by Beverly Cleary. I LOVED this series from about second to fifth grade.
First love
The first book you fell in love with
I remember being pretty impressed with Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret by Judy Blume in middle school. It was the first time I read a book and could relate wholeheartedly with the protagonist.
Biggest book crush
The book character you’re totally in love with
Will Trent from Karin Slaughter‘s series. I love every little awkward thing about him!
Weirdest book crush
Well… duh
I don’t have just one, but this happens to me more often than I should probably admit. Sigh. Sometimes I end up liking the killer or bad guy in a book. I don’t know why, they’re not meant to be likable but it happens. Like Alex Thorne in Angela Marsons series or Sarah from PsychoAnalysis
Hardest break up
The book you didn’t want to end
The Last Harry Potter book, it was hard to let go after so many years!
The one that got away
The book in your TBR or wish list that you regret not having started yet.
The Mountain in my Shoe by Louise Beech. I know it’s fabulous, too many of my favorite bloggers have raved over it but I haven’t found time to squeeze it in yet!
Secret love
Guilty Reading pleasure
Nigel May and Jillian Quinn. Both are smutty and racy, and not my usual go to reads, but both write wickedly fun, naughty books.
Love one, love them all
Favourite series or genre
Not gonna pick just one series! So genre I’ll say mystery/thriller just so I can cover all the bases.
Your latest squeeze
Favourite read of the last 12 months
Oohh these are getting more difficult! Sirens by Joseph Knox.
Blind date for a friend
If you were to set a friend up with a blind date (book) which one would it be?
My go to recommendation if I don’t know what someone likes is always Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris. So far I haven’t had anyone be disappointed. Or they just haven’t told me!
Greatest love of all
Favourite book of all time.
You are one wicked woman Jen! I’m going to use a highly scientific method here and pull up my favorites shelf on Goodreads, close my eyes and point. Daisy in Chains by Sharon Bolton, pretty good choice if I do say so myself. Gotta love science
…
At last!. Someone who recognises that I am evil! Great choices there but then you love my genre – crime and thrillers. You know I’ve never read Behind Closed Doors. I might need to take a look. Thanks Amy.. Totally get what you mean about Will Trent by the way 😉
What do you think? Are Amy’s picks a yey or a nay? Make sure to join me next week when I’ll be sharing some more #booklove from Beth Webb and Jennifer Gilmour.
Kewlies, my two favourite bloggers on the same page, excuse the pun! So glad Amy your last name is not Lullivan, cause then I would have to call you ALfA!

Excellent choices! I love seeing Sirens mentioned more these days. For the longest time, it seemed to go under the radar.
