Review: A Dark So Deadly by Stuart MacBride (@StuartMacBride)

Now if there is one thing guaranteed to get me to stop what I’m doing, or a least stop reading what I’m reading, then its a new Stuart MacBride book. One of my ‘drop everything for’ authors. About Rachel

I’m Rachel, and I love books. And when I say I love them, I mean I obsess about them so much that I literally start dreaming about them.

Let’s just say that after reading the Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare, I was obviously as bad-ass as Clary, fighting demons in my sleep. Then disappointment snuck in when I woke up and remembered I live in London, not New York. Oh, and the special talent for reading ancient runes and saving mankind wielding a seraph blade? Yeah, not me.

I’ve wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. After completing my BA in Creative Writing and two writing courses with Writers Academy, I decided to do a Masters in Creative writing specialising in Crime Thriller novels.

I absolutely love immersing myself in stories, for me reading is a type of escapism which transports you into another world with characters who you like, hate, or just generally get frustrated at. A story is full of emotion; makes you laugh, cry and is just pure entertainment.
