#BookLove – Katrina Hart (@KatrinaHart2015)

Book Love (1)

Today I am delighted to welcome author Katrina Hart to Jen Med’s Book Reviews to share with us all a little of her #BookLove. Before we find out all about her book crushes and her greatest love of all, here is a little bit about Katrina.

About Katrina

KH

My name is Katrina but I was always called Katie. I live in the East of England with my family and Holly, Smokey my two cats as well as Jessie our dog, they are a nutty bunch but I love them all the same.

This blog is a bit of everything relating to writing, books, favourite quotes and sometimes cats and dogs. I’m a discovery writer so this blog could veer off into all directions knowing me, however I will try not to let my blog seem like a wild creature that needs taming. My First novel is called Finding Destiny, writing it sparked such a love of delving into new worlds with interesting people. I don’t think I could ever stop writing now, once it was finished I wrote another book that I’m currently editing at the moment. Also at this moment in time I’m working on producing my third novel.

Since I started writing I have discovered a new love for quotes, a quote that really inspired was from Toni Morrison. Toni said  “If there’s a book you really want to read but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” I came across this quote whilst I was studying, this is one of the many things that inspired me to begin my first novel. Reading is a great passion of mine, I could easily spend a whole lifetime engrossed in a good book. That’s what summer’s for right? Reading in the garden, letting the day pass you by.

I love to hear about new and upcoming books, this is something that really excites me as I just can’t wait to crack open a new book and start reading. I would like to use this chance to welcome all writers that would like to be a guest blogger and share about their novels, short stories along with giving people a insight into what journeys their characters may take as well as any future plans they have.

Girl on the bus 1.0The Official Book Blurb

A retired detective and a young woman are about to face their worst fears.

Vicki Reiner is emotionally isolated and craves the fleeting happiness she experienced in the years prior to her college graduation. In an attempt to recapture this, she invites her former friend and room-mate, Laurie,  for a break at her deserted beachside home. However, despite booking an online bus ticket, her friend never shows up and seems to have vanished.

Unable to accept the bizarre circumstances of the disappearance, Vicki approaches the police who dismiss her concerns before enlisting the reluctant help of Leighton Jones – a newly retired detective who is haunted by the death of his teenage daughter. Despite trying to remain detached from the case, Leighton is drawn to Vicki and her search for justice.

The unlikely pair face numerous obstacles but using a combination of methods he and Vicki track the killers who are working across the dusty freeways of North America.

Soon Vicki and Leighton find themselves nervously waiting at a remote bus stop expecting the arrival of the bus.

Will they ever discover what happened to Laurie?

When Alice’s daughter, Anne Marie, repeatedly falls victim to aggressive vandals, Alice finally can take no more. She decides to take control of the mess that has become her life, and finally frees herself from the chaos that has been bringing her down.
